Gaia Interactive Web Design
Gaia came to us with a roster of epic web, Facebook, iPhone, iPad and Android games that needed a home. We gave them a unique and fun brand along with a CMS so they can maintain it.
Visit the Live SiteAs soon as we saw the gorgeous artwork that Gaia was providing from their games, we knew that our design wouldn't be the star of the show. Working with their pre-existing brand guidelines, we crafted a textured, hand-drawn feel that used their colors, but more importantly gave their illustrations top billing.
It was a pleasure working with 47m to design and develop our new corporate web presence. The 47m team are pros and super easy to work with - we couldn't be happier with the results.

Because Gaia makes games for smartphones and tablets, it only made sense to build their site for mobile and responsive from the ground up. Using HTML5 and CSS3 as well as sliders that respond to touch we were able to create a site that works on any size screen or device. Huge thanks to Jon Balza for pitching in during this part of the project.
As usual, we used ExpressionEngine, Structure, Matrix and Wygwam to make maintaining the site a breeze. Games can have their own sliders with videos in them and blog posts and job openings are easy to manage. We also used Assets to make sure managing all that beautiful artwork was as smooth as possible. Thanks to Steve Grant for helping during this part of the project.
The heart and soul of the Gaia site is the game page. We started with a big, beautiful slider that can house images or video, the purchase area that can hold up to 5 store links, room for a nice description, social links and then frequently asked support questions. Simple and clean, and works great at all browser widths.
I don't know about you, but I'm ready to go play some games! Head on over to the site and check them out!
