Ag Leader came to us with a desire to simplify, streamline and mature their brand. We worked with them to find a great balance between professional and personable - with just a touch of texture, grit and real world elements. We are, after all, talking about working with the earth even if there is a ton of awesome technology involved.
Speaking of technology, Ag Leader's site is fully responsive so that farmers out in the field can get to the info they need quickly from any device they might have on hand.

2Product Grouping
We spent a lot of time distilling, organizing and grouping Ag Leader's many products into a design that would make it easy to find what customers were looking for. Because so many of their products are related to each other, this was extra tricky. But we found a good mix of ways to show physical products, solutions and software products together on the same page.
3Product Pages
Ag Leader's product pages were by far the most complex part of the site to design. There were 4 types - product groups, hardware, software and solutions. We did our best to come up with a design that was flexible enough to accomodate all of these, but still allow a large amount of customization.
Each page also had 7 content block types to choose from. When building a page, Ag Leader can fill out whichever one will fit the content best and then re-order them on the fly through ExpressionEngine.
The result is a complex system that allows for nearly unlimited options, but with an easy to maintain underlying code structure and easy to update CMS backend. It's pretty cool.
4Dealers Search
Ag Leader has over hundreds of dealers all over the world, and we had to build a highly customized dealer search so that keyword searching, map zooming and result radii are customizable for those times when Google's maps reach their limits.
With the help of Packet Tide, we've continued to refine and add more functionality even after the site has launched.
