1An Icon in the Night

From the moment I first saw it, I knew the shot I had to get. Dead center of the four lanes, perfectly symmertrical. The trouble is, the only way to get this shot is to wait for the wee hours of the morning, jump the concrete barrier and dart across the late night traffic. And since the birdge's main illumination has been turned off at this time of night, this long exposure shot gives the bridge the colors of the nearby ambient lights, making it even more dramatic.

2Lit Up

For the first part of the night, the bridge is brightly lit against the night, showing off it's wonderful lines. There's only the faint glow of Charleston's nightlife blooming over the horizon.
