DesignHope 2016 Promo Video
We announced the brand new DesignHope last week, and wanted to share the video we made to tell people why we're doing it. Sometimes it's easy to make something look great, but harder to tell the story behind it.
Physical proximity was the first issue we ran into. I travel full time, am hanging out in Oregon and Austin is back in Tennessee. We worked together writing a script remotely, whittling it down till we had something we felt like would work.
Sadly, we didn't have a Nate or the gear to make the kind of videos we usually put together. So we had to do the best with what we had. iPhones and front facing cameras did the trick. We did our best to use the low budget thing to our advantage and went for a casual, off-the-cuff vibe.
I got to pull my guitars out and make some fun background music and a weird little choir intro thing. It had been a while, and I think I need to do that more often.
Putting it Together
No fancy software here! iMovie helped me wrangle everything together. All in all, I'm pretty proud of how it turned out!
Now that you've seen the video, head over to DesignHope 2016 and nominate your favorite small, worthwhile, non-profit or local brand to win a complete business tune-up.
